So what does that make the rest of us? Afterall, we come here day after day after day and post comments that would lead an outsider to believe we believe the realm of Calvin and Hobbes is real.
Many artists would have come up with loosing the shoes, a few would have included the socks, but only Watterson could also include the gloves and hat too.(And keep them all in line as well)
I had “overshoes” as a kid. Once we couldn’t find one of my shoes even searching the entire house. Found it the next year stuck inside the boot. Another year, Mom pulled the boots out of the attic and found a sprouted onion in one of my Dad’s boots.
Reminds me when I was a kid, my friend thwacked me right in the face with a snowball that he packed a little bit of gravel in with it… Made me cry is all I remember.. But itwas a long time back and all that… I forgave him eventually.

Good shot, but not fine for Calvin!

He better put back on his shoes and socks before he freezes.

Missed the barn, but plastered the maroon standing next to it.

The apple usually doesn’t fall far from the tree but in this case Hobbes has done better than his teacher.

I can honestly say that even my imagination never knocked my boots, shoes, AND socks off.
Puddleglum2 about 12 years ago
Calvin was right; Hobbes couldn’t hit the side of a barn.
Puddleglum2 about 12 years ago
Hobbes should make reparation by giving Calvin another ‘sock’!

Nooo, it can not be true. I thought Calvin was a figment of Hobbes’ imagination.

Tiger, tiger, such a sight, throwing snowballs with all his might. With perfect aim, and power galore, he flattens Calvin to the floor….

I’m surprised he didn’t lose his skin and his skeleton, too! Love Hobbes’ smile in the last panel!

Wasn’t there a strip in which Calvin put on a pair of galoshes, and found out why they were named that?

Should we apply that to international relations? Retaliate unexpectedly with overwhelming force?
