While Gunth was standing there with his fist in the air, I’d hit him in the nose with the heel of my hand.

Hope he gets those moves down so he doesn’t have to hold the book. Definitely can’t fight and read a book at the same time.

Yeah, he’s definitely not going to get anywhere with that move. Even Knute can see that. He’d be better off running, tripping, and letting Leslie laugh and take pity on him

He’s better off just hanging with Rosa, letting Leslie be the jerk he is, and – if he’s clever – filming any confrontations. Trying to fight a jerk is just not worth the effort.

Gunther, Gunther, Gunther. You are book-smart, but this is not something you learn from a book. Knox is gonna whip you unless he is like Moose Mason from the Archies – confuse him with words.

Gunther is a pretty quick study, and he’s really focussed on the krav maga. He might just be able to put a whuppin’ on Knox, so don’t be so negative, Knute; your vibe is a downer!

No no no. Gunther’s magic shirt (*) changed from green to purple. This all has to happen in one day or the return to TJ-Ann story will fall apart.

Oh wait. Gunther. Nervous. Sweat. He probably has an orange and blue change still in his locker.

Magic shirt: No matter how the arm moves, the pattern still matches the body. (They ever make a Luann movie, his shirt should be blue-screened at all times.)

    ENOUGH, Already!

Look Gunth, FORGET the ‘foreign fighting’ crap. On the day of the Royal Rumble, here’s what you SHOULD do:

    1) “Less-Lilly” will be EXPECTING You to GO for his nose first, so he’ll be PROTECTING it. So DON’T. Instead, Duck and STOMP HARD on his left toe.

    2) While he’s SCREAMING in pain, follow up with a series of Very Violent, Very Rapid, PUNISHING blows to his stomach.

    3) Now, while he’s in AGONY and GASPING for breath, give ’em a left upper cut that LIFTS him off the floor and causes him to CRASH to the floor, UNCONSCIOUS.

    4) Oh, I ALMOST forgot. Gunther, be SURE to Kick old Needle Nose in the NUTZ to make some Folks on THIS forum HAPPY.

    5) NOW, ENJOY a Triumphant Cup of COFFEE. Far, Far away from HERE….,

Gunther may not have to fight with Leslie. If the students have gotten wind that Leslie wants to beat up Gunther, perhaps they consider this bullying and are going to be proactive in averting it. Taking Leslie aside and tthreatening him with being expelled might be just the ticket. No diploma, no prom, no senior trip – all of it gone.

OK, here’s how it goes… Gunther ends up in a confrontation with Leslie (I can see why he grew up tough) and gets his butt handed to him, Leslie then goes back after Rosa who then hangs a wuppin’ on him and Gunther ends up with “Do I have to rely on my girl friend for protection” issues. Nuff said

Cut to the “High Noon” moment. So unless Leslie hijacks the comic strip, Gunther has to come out on top, win the girl’s heart, and we’ll move on to the next crisis. Gunther has to stop being the loser or the strip becomes too predictable. Anyone remember the old comic strip called The Sad Sack?

Many of us had to learn some self defense in school. I once took along a switchblade knife (but did not need to use it after showing it) back in the 50s. I also had some physical confrontations (punching another girl once and pushing some boys up a short stairway when I was cornered).

i think this is where quill steps in and finds a way to defuse it. if leslie is the bully i think he is, he won’t want to fight anyone who could whip his narrow little behind.

Heh, that’s not how you chamber a hammerfist, and he’d bite his tongue off if he got hit in the face like that. With his arm way back there he’d be wide open for a strike, too.
