I knew a kid who kept what he took and he grew up to bean insurance salesman.

it’s still fun reliving these moments!

Good for you Mike, stealing is wrong.

He can go to the security Gaurd and tell him he is just returning it. that he mistakenly taken it and only realized when he got home.

You tell him, Michael. Stand up for the right thing, and it’s never too late to do it.I agree, gmartin… that’s the tricky part.

Shows that good people make momentary BAD decisions that can come back to haunt them for the rest of their lives. Tell the truth from the start, be honest in EVERY thing you do and you don’t have to remember the “story” to keep it straight or make up fantasies to explain your actions. (Hmmmm, gotta remember that next time …)

A friend of mine said that she wasn’t charged $16.95 for one item. She went back and paid. She said there are no levels of honesty, just honesty.

Mike learned one lesson already. Now, he’s about to learn another lesson, which is that reversing a wrong also has consequences. Like trying to un-tell a lie, or erase the effect of gossipping.

Great, Michael, you’re getting it.

Take it back, fess up and take the consequences. It’s cowardly to do anything less.

He can be happy he was not in Walmart, or he would have been in jail awaiting trial.

God gave us all a conscience. Michael is learning from it. Without a conscience, we’d be sociopaths.

@exturk:Nowadays with the terrorist doing stuff by mail you need the return address or else it goes into the dead letter area. You still have to take it to the post office to get it weighed.
