Was the last one supposed to be the punch line? If it is, I don’t get it.
I like the Macon sausages.
There was also an ice hockey team called Macon Whoopee. Their logo featured a whooping bird and a bee. Clever!
I’m surprised it wasn’t the “Macon Bacon” – of course, they might have had to censor that one.
Hilburn and Stephan Pastis are the best punsters we have.

The Kilgore Texans would never be rained out, as long as you pronounced the name of the city with the accent on the second syllable.
