On the other hand, when it comes to this sort of undertaking, Pig isn’t all that deep. He’s sweet, but pretty shallow.

Gosh, Pig! You should have specified what you wanted on your marker, not just said “gimme an epithet!” That would be the usual way of doing business. Oh, well; you won’t be reading it when Your Time comes….

Maybe Rat could go into the tombstone business. My tombstone – “Warning!!! Don’t eat the mystery meat!”

Ephithet is just a descriptive term… e.g., “Alexander the Great” or “Ivan the Terrible”.

I’d return it – the tombstone was too short of a read and lacked a decent plot.

Reminds me of an old television commercial. What do you want on your Tombstone? Sausage and pepperoni.

This little piggy is having an epithetical epitaph epiphany. (Try saying that while eating crackers.)

The engraver got it wrong; Pig is a #$&%$&# simpleton.

It’s a pathetic epithet. Translated to the numbers, it might be Pastis’ phone number 3475473. Awww, probably not.

To Number6 & Jakebb2: back when Pibgorn was taking comments, they had a character named Spitcock. The other site’s censor server would have melted down under weight of those comments.

Epithet has more than one meaning, and if he literally said a “nice” one, that would require whoever wrote on the gravestone to go with the meaning “a characterizing word used in place of a name”. The other meaning is incompatible with the word “nice”.Hence, they did not follow directions.
