The guy on the left knows that you don’t get coverage for that. The guy in the middle knows that he’d like to go to the South of France for two weeks next month. The guy on the right knows people are being ripped off.
The funny thing is, she’s got the percentages right, but flipped. Surveys show 90% of doctors admit there’s something wrong with a system that makes profits when it DOESN’T provide a service, and 2/3 are FOR some kind of government option to provide insurance to people who are excluded or gouged by the for profit insurance providers. The stupidest thing the right can do right now is to make this into a war between the health care providers and the middle-man insurance providers, who add no value and simply skim profits away from the doctors and hospitals that deserve them.
HQ – 3 out of 4 Drs agree that we need a public option. The AMA doesn’t like it, but the Doctors do. So where are you coming up with this 40%? Also “government will be the one paying your patients bills” would only be true for public option patients… who would be the minority of their patients. And what would the Dr care if they had already negotiated a decent rate?
“The best health care in the world” is only according to those against the health care reform that refuse to face facts. Every objective analysis leaves us somewhere in double digits.
