This bosh is muddle for dolts.

That first comment came from one of the “crotcheteers” I’m betting.

Piffle is a swear word, isn’t it? We always used it as one in our family when I was growing up.

I guess that’s the point, isn’t it. Words aren’t “swear” words, they’re just words. If you choose to find mere words offensive, if you choose to give them power over you, that’s your issue.

But if you know people will be offended and say/do it anyway, you have an issue, too - lack of respect. Who’s betting that Danae’s poor father fails miserably when trying to teach her that?

This really whomps! I wash born here, an I wash raished here, and dad gum it, I am gonna die here, an no sidewindin bushwhacking, hornswaglin, cracker croaker is goina tell me what I kin or kin’t say. I kin say what I wants caz its [Freedom of speech] is my SUPREME BEING given right.

I use “spam” as a swear word… and “crudbombs”. And “carp”. Like the fish.

The issue is: What is your intent in using the word? You can turn any word into a swear word if that is your intent, even ‘darn’ and ‘dang’.Then the question is: What kind of person are you, do you respect others or do you only care about yourself? Would you chose to not use recognizable swear words to be respectable to others, and then would you chose not to use made-up swear words to be respectable to yourself.Originally swear words were used to evoke curses. Just hearing the swear, much less using it, evoked a curse on yourself (and possibly another person it was directed at). If you believe in such things (not just pagans, magic, but also Christianity, Judaism) then you should be fearful to use a swear word.

There are no swear words. There are only words and those too weak to use them.
