Ooh… beautiful poster…. beautiful vintage shade of blue.

    Lovely color-blocking.

And we can’t forget…. gorgeously handsome Western hero, Tom Mixbasset, with those thrilling, steady, brown eyes.

I spite of his name, he looks every inch the perfect purebred…

Oh…. um… is that considered un-PC to mention nowadays?

Did you know there was a human movie made?

    found a poster for it…

I hope the link works, cos I had to test a LOT of them:

Strangely, almost ten years later this poster was re-used for a completely different movie…

(I think I found this last time, too)

I wonder whether the two humans were identical!

They’re so hard to tell apart, you know.

I was just thinking …. (stand back!) ….

If that movie were made today, I’m sure it would be “New Riders of the Purplie Sage.”

And…. maybe little Augie should be out there riding the range, too

with his great nose for trouble.

Beautiful! I love Tom Mixbasset, but especially love Tony (my son’s name). I see bluies and purplies. I don’t want to see any bloody biscuits, though.

I love Westerns! Old Westerns especially! Tom Mixbasset sure can fill a cowboy hat….tilted just so! I had to check out the IMBD website for a quick peek at their info……I just found out that Gary Pooper was in this movie as an UNCREDITED rider! How’s that for trivia.

    Love this poster, Stel!!!
