Get in there Gutter! She can only say no. Possibly crushing your tiny, beautiful soul. Then again, if you don’t tell her how you feel time will slowly crush your soul as well. Have a nice day now!
I think Sophie is just enjoying being theatrical. And she’s probably already got some good inspiration for art pieces.
She reminds me of my old diary from way, way back, where I was never happy — I was ecstatic, and never unhappy — just near death with sadness. All “Woe is me.” I never meant any of it, I just liked being melodramatic.
That last panel had me chuckling for a solid minute. I’ll say it again: it’s really fun to seeing mag outside of her usual prickly exterior of authority. Wingmag is a truly grand old mag.
Also Tommy my boy….you’ve lived with Sophie for 7 years (accounting for the soft reboot). Your sister is theatrical. Its why Elvis has a shot
Beatrixia: Thank you all for attending. Remember, all the scrolls read here are available for borrowing at the Pretty Good Pyramid Library here in Egypt, and the Royal Library in Afar.
Elvis-Anum: Also, now that Burt-Ra created a movable printing press, we will be able to publish scrolls for purchase very soon.
Puckmosis: I would like to have a Literary Festival every year.
Alice-Ata: I think that could be arranged. We Procurers would be glad to do our part.
Ta-Natash: We would love to spread the word.
Puckmosis: You could do that right now. Every day should be Literary Day!
Bea: And I think all should be encouraged to read!
Iggy: I’d like to find more books about the sea.
Thomios: I know a book about sailing and baking. It’s called The Life of Pie.
Elvis: There’s one about math like that. It’s called The Life of Apple Pi Are Squared.
Bea: If you can’t find it here, there’s always Punn State’s library!
And to all Orb Friends: Hope you had a lovely Library Week!
Just wondering, is there a public declaration, some sort of document that makes a couple “official”. Is it notarized and filed with the office of people who are definitely together? Does it have to be nulled when they break up? Can it be amended when couples switch to an “open relationship”?
From Georgia: “When I was little, Mom and Nana Dee Dee had to watch the ‘Mystery!’ intro with the sound off after bedtime, because if I heard even one note I’d hop out of bed and coming running out to watch the whole thing. I still love it so much, and put it on for a quick dose of comfort!”
The kids & I had a wonderful visit with my mom, brother, and sis-in-law the past couple of days, and now I’m reading like the wind to get caught up on the comments. (✿^‿^)

I loved the old original opening for Mystery Theatre.

Methinks she’s being a bit overdramatic. Perhaps the allure of DRAMA is greater than the loss of (more or less unrequited) love?

Another thing Gutter should keep in mind. The old Red Green saying. If Women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!

Sophie is enjoying that fainting couch wayy too much. Wesley, on the other hand, is probably enjoying a nice bit of cheddar …

Oh, my queen, there was probably a better way to put that.

Gutter must go to her, stat! Tommy should purr quietly near her, perhaps offering any treats she likes.

Just going to say, “I can’t help but notice you’re reenacting the opening to PBS’s Mystery” is a great line.

As much into drama as this sweet girl is I wonder why she resisted BCW for so long?

When I was small, my mother used to let me stay up late to watch the opening credits for Mystery. I think that explains a lot…

Oh, dear, sweet, Sophie, Wesley was not worthy of your love. We’ll have to wait and see how Gutter turns out, but I think he will be a fun suitor.

Hope you and Pollux are comforting each other. Maybe let in a tiny smile about the reference to the PBS Mystery opening.

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin’ in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I’m so tired but I can’t sleep
Standin’ on the edge of something much too deep
It’s funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can’t be heard
But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I’m so afraid to love you, but more afraid to lose
Clinging to a past that doesn’t let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories
