If he’d prefer, I could come in and give a live performance.

I still have my laugh track recording from a mime show from the 70’s. Have yet to hear it, tho…

The laugh track may not be helpful to him. But it will help when he replays the recording of this session to his colleagues at the convention later this month.

I understand why the producers of a comedy program use a laugh track but some overdo it.

Not every full stop is funny. (laughter). When it is inappropriate, it’s annoying. (More laughter). Used in the appropriate places it’s tolerable (giggle) or maybe even unnoticeable. (roaring laughter). But most producers continue to insult my intelligence (giggle) by telling me what I am supposed to consider to be funny. (laughter) I will be the judge of that. (Big OOOOOOOOOH)

Political speeches should have a laugh track.

I wish I could post a recording here. It’s my daughter laughing hysterically when she was about 3 and screaming, “Daddy, your phone is ringing!” I use it as her ringtone.

The alternative was the “applauding audience” clip that Monty Python always used.

I would probably be cracking wise during the therapy and would appreciate a little background laughter. Therapists are not permitted more than a wry smile.

The show Hogan’s Heroes made some episodes without the laugh track, audience didn’t like that so much.

If you can’t laugh at yourself, then others will laugh for you.

Kill the laugh track and break out the guy with the drum set. As an interesting bit of foreshadowing, my friend gave me this You tube link the other day. Since URL’s are too hit or miss, just throw this into the search: Bill Murray as Rodney Dangerfield’s Psychiatrist

A big reason why I don’t care to watch Top Gear episodes with Matt Le Blanc; all the laughter was canned.
