Sound asleep at 2a.m. when I woke up as they started wheeling me out of my room for my MRI.

A late friend of mine was sound asleep shen they woke her up to wash her at 4 a.m. That happenes when there is too less staff who has to cope with the situation. That was about 20 years ago. It is getting worse since.

As Moe Howard would say, “Wake up and go to sleep”.

It’s more fun as a patient by saying “good morning”first; it’s not expected by medical staff – their reactions are priceless!

I especially loathed the nurses who would do that in the middle of the night and then forget to turn off the light when they left!

With all the machines they have you hooked up to in the hospital, you’d think the nurses would be able to tell the difference between dead and asleep.

Broomy is right! They wake you up in the middle of the night to see if you’re ok! ☹️☹️☹️

I once had a cat that slept all day (as cats do). One day, I went over to him when he was sleeping and hollered “Wake up, look alive, do something”. Well he did. He woke up, hissed at me, and went back to sleep.

Last time I was in the hospital (motorcycle accident), I warned the nurses about waking me up. “I’m deaf in my left ear, so if I don’t hear you, just talk louder. If I’m asleep and you touch me to wake me up, I will be startled, and I will scare you.” After the first night, they were more careful about waking me up…

They have a good reason as they need to know if they can give your bed to a new patient….
