I remember an Oscar-nominated Disney cartoon from 1938 called Mother Goose Goes Hollywood which caricatured Hollywood stars as nursery rhyme characters. In the version of Old King Cole, the Fiddlers Three turned out to be the Marx Brothers. I remember that Laurel and Hardy appeared elsewhere in the cartoon as Simple Simon and the Pieman.
