Humans instinctively lie and cheat, it comes from being slower and weaker than other animals that are involved with us on the food chain one way or another. When betting on humans, try to pick the side with the most successful cheats.

I dunno, I think the Travis Swift Bowl, and pro football in general isn’t all that different from past years. I still couldn’t care less about it.

Since my team isn’t in it, I plan to DVR the game so I can skip the unimportant parts and watch the commercials.

All the money spent on sports could do so much better good for millions of poor around the world. What a shame on everyone involved.

It’s time for the superbowl AGAIN?

According to some of our Politicians, it’s rigged because of Taylor Swift dating that Quarterback guy. His team is supposed to win, just stuff I read in the news, so who knows if its true or not, we can’t trust our news anymore. They takes sides now.

I’m going to take my wife out on a nice hike during the little game, and then dinner. Text me when it’s all over. Our weather is great right now for that hike.

I’m pretty sure Arlo has the same bet as every other year ….

Of course pro sports is corrupt! So is professional college football.

Jimmy, I hear you had some concerns that today’s comic would make you seem like a nut job conspiracy theorist. Let me assure you, it really does.

This superbowl bet is the one example where we have turned the table on JJ. Instead of JJ peeking in our windows for ideas, we have been making a superbowl bet for the past 15-20 years… inspired by Arlo and Janis.

I’ve heard on sports radio that a few baseball managers were basing their offensive and defensive moves on the betting lines. I am NOT saying that’s true, but if it is then sports as “the human drama of athletic competition” like he says during the opening of ABCs Wide World of Sports is done, over, controlled by gambling. It doesn’t matter if gambling was always here, gambling on sports NOW controls the outcome of every sports event. And remember, I did say IF what I heard on a radio show is true…

There’s something in the water, even comic strip water, that muddles our brains and prevents us from thinking clearly.

That’s it! That’s the ticket! The Deep State put something in the comic strip water!

Sports are all political. In some sport leagues, the champion is determined before the season even starts and the refs are instructed to make sure the game ends the way it it predetermined to. Premier League Football (soccer)? Owned by the Chinese and Saudis, two VERY corrupt nations.

Final post: Think about the Black Sox Scandal and the Liston/Clay fight. I also have my doubts about Buster Douglas’ victory.

Every game should be determined by a touch down or greater margin, no one should win the SB with an OT field goal.

The really final post: I suspect that JJ chuckled to himself quite a bit when he created today’s strip. He knew that many of us would feel compelled to comment.

Well, the refs have been in town long enough for the local betting cartel to have late night visits with the. All they need is a parking garage and Dash Domi.

You got a 50/50 chance. Forget about the spread. You lose a few bucks or all your clothes or you do one of her traditional chores; same applies to her. It’s a win/win situation…..

Haven’t watched an NFL game in years.

When the commentators or the referees seem to be on one side or the other it runes the game.

Fan of both teams, and have no issues with occasional cutaways to pretty girls in the stands. Also get to watch Puppy Bowl! Gonna be a good day.

I have zero regrets about not being to care a whit, about the super bowl.

Before anyone comes back here for a post-game rant, let me suggest watching the classic movie Horsefeathers (1932) for perspective on academia and collegiate football. The main difference is that the pros have a lot more money to throw around. I watch it occasionally, and it makes me think that nothing much changes. I think I’ve met a few incarnations of Prof. Wagstaff over the years…
