Hahahaha been there done that! I vividly remember being so disappointed as a kid when the History Museum did not go far enough back in time to include the dinosaurs.
For live mummies you need to visit Brit museums, where the mummies are their with their children in tow. I think Kevin would rather see a dead mummy in a glass case. And he’d love to see a mummy outside a glass case. Ain’t gonna happen, Kev.
For a really scary experience, Kevin could visit the Royal Ontario Museum in (where else) Ontario, Canada, where kids can visit the museum after dark (with dinosaurs featured) and sometimes, even have a sleep over!
The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose CA, they have some. Back in the 60’s they had real shrunken heads on display too. As they aren’t from Egypt (they are South American) they don’t have them out anymore.
Should have gone to the Mutter Museum at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, AKA the Museum of Medical Oddities. They have all sorts of interesting samples on public display, both Kevin and Miles would love it.

Walked right into that one, Kevin. Next time, hold out for werewolves and the taxidermy shop.

It helps if you can tune your imagination to specific topics.

Mummies are usually kept in a sarcophagus and their organs are kept in jars.

Sorry, kid. Mummies don’t actually come to life and attack people like they do in the movies.

It does look like a boring museum if that’s the most exciting display they have.

As a well-known Doctor once said, “disemboweled, desiccated corpses do not get up and walk around”.
