And though I liked Starbucks dark roast, I’ve switched to Peet’s dark roast. Both decaf as I can’t take the caffeine anymore, but still want my coffee to taste like coffee. Some restaurants have the impression “decaf” just means half-strength. Ugh.
Starbucks may have decided people were measuring with a tablespoon from the silverware drawer, which is nowhere near a tablespoon unless you heap them as full as you can. I usually use three coffee-measuring scoops and fill the water to the drip coffeemaker’s 5 cup mark, which produces two mugs of coffee. “Strong” according to some folks, because I want my coffee to taste like coffee.
