OMG, not Charlene too?! I had such hopes for her. What, they’re not ranting about the purses being black?? Slaves to fashion, nothing, they’re slaves to the retailers whims.

And, by the way, the store is expecting the whole population of a tri-state area to come in and buy a simple new black purse? No shoes? No flashy dazzely funky clothes that they’ll never wear? No hats? What is the world coming to?

Yup, here we are, 3:00 a.m. You know, Cathy seems twice as nutty when it’s way too early in the morning.

I’m not a huge shopper, too many more important things to do.

Reorganizing Cathy’s whole life starts with a simple new black purse? Okay. The male brain is just not made to understand certain female brain things. Trouble is, Charlene was Cathy’s last hope at sanity. Sad to see her corrupted. Sigh

Where do women get the idea that making a new purchase is going to help get them organized??

They are going to be there all day…too many purses to choose from. I bet they can’t buy just one purse and get out of the store. Hello to all of our fellow Cathy nuts.

I’m not a big shopper either. I just shop when I need something, and it’s usually a quick trip and a variation on what I already have. Hmmm. I wonder if I should get a new purse. The one I have [and only one] is still perfectly good, but it seems that if a person doesn’t have several purses, pairs of shoes etc. they must not be keeping up to speed. Call me a slowpoke.

I don’t really get how the “simple” black purse can jump start the organizing. Myself? I’m into buying pretty baskets, boxes, and containers to get inspired. But as a mentor reminds me, “You just can’t organize junk! I hate to be the one to point this out to you, Cathy and Charlene, but . . . each of you is already carrying a black purse . . .

Do you intend to put the new, wrapped version inside the old to transport it home?

Cathy and Charlene just need to take their existing black purses home, dump them out, vacuum out the crumbs and start over.

You can have color you want as long as it’s black (which, in this case, is not a Ford. I prefer black for my Jettas.)

frightenup Yeah, worried about my Aaron. Is there a better reason to be awake 2 1/2 to 3 hours early? Even LMB cuddled closer when he knew I was awake. :-)

I bet LMB is happiest when all his family are safe at home. My boys are the same – they know when their “Dad” should be back, and they go and sit by the door until he arrives!

Hi Cathyites!! Hmmm might be ok if the new black purse is smaller than the old black purse — if you look back at yesterday’s strip, it seems to have shrunk already.

“Small” and “Simple” must be relative terms here. Just sayin’.

I’m just questing but i bet cathy has are ready a few black pursees at home. Hi to everybody and lightenup how lil doing?
