   OMG, not Charlene too?! I had such hopes for her. What, they’re not ranting about the purses being black?? Slaves to fashion, nothing, they’re slaves to the retailers whims.

    

   And, by the way, the store is expecting the whole population of a tri-state area to come in and buy a simple new black purse? No shoes? No flashy dazzely funky clothes that they’ll never wear? No hats? What is the world coming to?

    

   Yup, here we are, 3:00 a.m. You know, Cathy seems twice as nutty when it’s way too early in the morning.

   Reorganizing Cathy’s whole life starts with a simple new black purse? Okay. The male brain is just not made to understand certain female brain things. Trouble is, Charlene was Cathy’s last hope at sanity. Sad to see her corrupted. Sigh

   I’m not a big shopper either. I just shop when I need something, and it’s usually a quick trip and a variation on what I already have. My husband makes fun of me because he bought me a fancy purse about 12 years ago, and I’ve used it twice.

    Hmmm. I wonder if I should get a new purse. The one I have [and only one] is still perfectly good, but it seems that if a person doesn’t have several purses, pairs of shoes etc. they must not be keeping up to speed. Call me a slowpoke.

    I don’t really get how the “simple” black purse can jump start the organizing. Myself? I’m into buying pretty baskets, boxes, and containers to get inspired. But as a mentor reminds me, “You just can’t organize junk! You’ve got to throw it out!” Still hard for me sometimes.

    There are a lot of men who collect. It’s just other stuff (tools, cars, electronic gadgets, stereo stuff, comics, antiques, etc.) But wait, I collect some of that stuff, too.
