Afternoon AnonaMona and Bronzepony. Hi recently arrived former lurkers. :-D Beauty of a day here. LMB and I are going out to the orchard. I want to see if I can find any of his hidey holes. Kinda unnerving when he disappears for a while.

Actually, Cathy dumped Aaron because, as she just reminded her mother, he was too young for her and they had nothing in common. It was her mother who was pushing for the engagement the whole time, and Cathy was the sensible one for once.

Cathy was a “cougar” at one point.

What, no late nighters tonight?? Okay, then I’ll just talk and talk and… just kidding!A quick hello to everyone and a couple of notes…@ Aaron – I’m working on real exercise, I promise. I don’t have time for it every day, but I’m back to my Monday walk and I do weights other mornings. We also walk to school every morning. I’m about average weight, mostly because my diet is healthy, so hopefully that’s okay for now. :-) p.s. I’m sorry about your breakup with Cathy, but you dodged a bullet. (totally kidding! I know legaleagle put the wrong name. The funnier part is that my real name is Alex. (shhhh!) LOL!!@ Molly mcgee – I wrote you back over at The Norm (didn’t know you were a fan too!), but I’ll say that lightenupjr is having an okay time at school so far. She’s sweet & friendly and everyone likes her, but has a hard time finding close friends who seek her out to play and talk. Part of it is that she is reserved and part of it is that she isn’t great at chattering with others (unlike most young girls), so she feels a bit lonely. I think it’ll be fine. It’s just hard at first. She was also disappointed that she wasn’t chosen for student council the way she was last year (and really enjoyed). Poor thing… I’ve had to do a lot of reassuring for her so far this school year! On the good side, she is on top of her school work and it’s easy for her.Whereas, lil’ lightenup is having a great year so no worries about her!Good night to everyone!! “See” you tomorrow!

It appears that Cathy’s nutjobbiness (catchy!) runs in the family. Not that that’s a big surprise or anything …

If Alex was all wrong for her and she knew it, then why was Cathy so upset (yesterday) at getting a wedding invite from him? If she broke up with him, there’s nothing to be so devastated about. And if he broke up with her, then it’s probably because Susan is right: the very thought of Cathy’s crazy mother becoming his mother-in-law sent the poor guy running and screaming in the opposite direction for his life . . . not to mention his sanity!!!!! ;-)

Aaron: You have such a sweet and gentle soul that I can’t imagine you hitting a woman for any reason so she must have been a really evil person to drive you to do something so drastic in order to get your point across to her!!! Sorry you had to go through that. We’re not all bitches but unfortunately, there are enough of them out there to give the rest of us a bad name!!!!! [sigh] :-(

lightenup: I just now read about your rudeness experience over the weekend and I think maybe yours was worse than mine! Yes, my cousin was rude cancelling dinner at the last minute but what kind of “friend” treats someone the way yours treated you?!? As the old saying goes: “With friends like that, who needs enemies?!?” Sounds like you need to dump her and get yourself a newer, better-improved one instead! B/t/w: Television is nothing but a mindless wasteland (and I should know because I watch too much of it myself!!!). Good for you to NOT let it be your “built-in babysitter”! Your kids will be a whole lot smarter not to mention much better off without it!!!!! ;-)

hendelca: I never would have thought of combining bacon and blueberries together but yesterday’s recipe you provided actually looked and sounded pretty good! Got it bookmarked in my “breakfast” file for the next time we have overnight guests!!! YUM!!!!! :-)
