Off course whe only wants to be told what she wants to hear. Otherwise she’s have to change her behavior!

As much as I want sympathy sometimes more than advice, Cathy probably gets too much sympathy from her mother and should be following her advice. But maybe that’s because I have sense (well, most of the time) and Cathy doesn’t. And the “old” part in me totally agrees with her mother. Our parents (well most of them) and grandparents generation totally knows how to live practically and frugally. Most of us just want things to be easy and cheap. I often wish I lived in a time when things were made with good quality and kept forever, fixed rather than being thrown away. Granted, that wouldn’t work so well with computers, which I really like, but for other items, it would.Good morning, legaleagle and Susan! gmforde, haven’t seen you in a while… miss you!Hello to Aaron, GsMom, Billy, KFG, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal, lippyfish and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

It’s hard to feel that Cathy is a complete nut job when she’s influenced at least 25% of the time by her nut job mom. I feel sorry for dad. He’s just an innocent bystander most of the time.

Morning lightenup. Hi Susan when you arrive. My night off so I don’t have to sleep all day. I’ve already had a haircut and taken LMB for a nice long walk. He still fits in my backpack. He eats up the attention that he gets.

Hi Mom! Happy Friday and weekend.

For people who profess to be fans of this strip, you seem to do nothing but carp about it. Once again, it’s a comic strip that is meant to be funny by exaggerating human foibles—just read it and laugh! (In fact, if most people would even admit it to themselves, there’s often a kernel of truth in our own lives in the strip—maybe not to that extent, but it’s there!)

Susan I had a haddock but I needed to see mahi old friend down the block. She wondered if I could name that tuna in three notes and by cod I did. My buddy exclaimed “Holy mackerel!”. Maybe we’ll go out to the Marlin Rouge tonight after we skate down by the river and piranha happy face. I better stop, this is beginning to krill me.

We should dolphinitely scale back on the fish puns, and not be so roughy on DOGLOVER8. I’m not squidding. You’ve of-fish-ally gone in the deep end, Aaron, but I hope you and Billy have fun. Let minnow what you ended up doing. To everyone else, TCIF!!! (Thank cod it’s Friday!)

AACK—my eyes rolled back into my head after I read all these “fishy” puns. They were clever, though.

As for the comic, Mom’s response seems more like a good intention than something bad. However, that’s just me.

    Happy Friday, everyone.

Hi Cathyites!! Cathy & Mom just need to get on the same page.

lightenup, I so agree that it would be so good to live in a time where there is some value and respect for things we own so that they could be fixed and used again. I hate the “throw-away” society that we’ve become.

The puns were fun!! Thanx for the laughs guys (too tired to think of any myself).

Aaron — just picturing LMB in your backpack — sooooo cute!! I once had a kitten I could put in my briefcase but I only did it once because some of the cat-haters at work were afraid of her. (She weighed all of 2 lb at the time.) Sigh.
