I’m surprised that Chalkie either didn’t know or didn’t remember that the Spotted Duck is the only bar where Andy ever bought a round.

Times must be hard in Hartlepool! The popular site-seeing tour called Hartlepool Highlights On the Hoof is down to only a couple or three tourists per walk.

No doubt the doubledecker bus tour stopped running years ago, and they’ve closed the brewery tour, as well!

I find that hard to believe.

I suppose the tour leader would say “Look there’s Andy Capp, let’s go and meet him”, probably ask him to sign their autograph books!!!
