This would be acceptable — justice, of a sort — IF it only impacted the idjits. But hospitals, nurses, doctors, staff are all being stretched PAST the point of utility. I know of people who have died because they couldn’t get the non-covid care they needed. This is a very bad time to need dialysis, percussive lung therapy, treatment after someone wrecks you and your car, treatment for a stroke, heart attack or kidney stones…

Don’t have a serious heart attack.

    Don’t have a stroke.

    Don’t have kidney failure.

    Don’t get cancer.

    Don’t get in a crash.

    Don’t get shot.

Don’t get in a plane crash.

See, that’s all you have to do. Don’t be so selfish! Those people who refused a free and tested vaccine but then got sick need those beds because you only though of yourself and then got sick or had a serious accident.

Just what were you thinking? What about their right to deny science and medical research?

Unfortunately, it’s also vaccinate cancer patients and vaccinated people who need emergency care. At some time, we need to choose people who care enough for themselves and others to get vaccinated and leave the unvaccinated for whatever’s left.

The hospitals have to re-open their parking garage wards for the infected unvaccinated. Why commit our resources to those putting the rest of us in jeopardy and wrecking the health care system?

It is bad enough that we coddled insurrectionists to the point that they felt free enough to attack under the leadership of corrupt and demented people in all three branches of government l

Some of the hospitals are having to make value judgements as to who gets the use of ICU care. Before, the sickest were sent to ICU, now only those who can benefit from more extensive care provided by the ICU staff and equipment. This is a horrible situation we’re in, caused by the reckless actions of the unvaccinated. Thankfully, now we have 75% of adults having gotten at least one vaccine dose, but with the Delta variant so prevalent, and other variants like Gamma and Mu becoming more active, we may never get above the virus. Like influenza, we may have to vaccinate yearly and then only to protect against the most virulent strain of the virus. Our major cities may have the set up ICU dedicated hospitals to handle the increasing number of Covid cases needing their specialty care. God save us.

Make the unvaccinated fight for space in the parking lots away from the ER, ICU, Nurses, PAs, Doctors and restrooms. Away from people who deserve medical care..,

Time for some hospitals to try out Fenofibrite to cut down the time spent in hospital by Covid patients.

Not a full-up trial, but it is a well established medicine. This article tells that it is effective against Covid because it does what it is supposed to do (as opposed to horse dewormers and antimalaria meds).

coronavirus causes abnormal accumulation of lipids, which are known to initiate severe inflammation in a process called lipotoxicity. The team identified the lipid-lowering drug TriCor (fenofibrate) as an effective antiviral last year, showing it both reduced lung cell damage and blocked virus replication in the laboratory. These results have since been confirmed by several international research teams. An observational study carried out in multiple clinical centers in Israel was reported last October to support the original findings. The team then launched an interventional clinical study to treat severe COVID-19 patients at Israel’s Barzilai Medical Center with support from Abbott Laboratories.

In this single-arm, open-label study, 15 severe-hospitalized COVID-19 patients with pneumonia requiring oxygen support were treated. In addition to standard of care, the patients were given 145 mg/day of TriCor (fenofibrate) for 10 days and continuously monitored for disease progression and outcomes. “The results were astounding”, shared Nahmias. “Progressive inflammation markers, that are the hallmark of deteriorative COVID-19, dropped within 48 hours of treatment. Moreover, 14 of the 15 severe patients didn’t require oxygen support within a week of treatment, while historical records show that the vast majority severe patients treated with the standard of care require lengthy respiratory support,” he added. These results are promising as TriCor (fenofibrate) was approved by the FDA in 1975 for long-term use and has a strong safety record. “There are no silver bullets”, stressed Nahmias, “but fenofibrate is far safer than other drugs proposed to date, and its mechanism of action makes is less likely to be variant-specific”.

I take Fenofibrite to control my triglycerides. It does that well.

My view on the FDA approval thing is that the anti-vax fools have taken a gamble and lost. They can take a smaller gamble with Fenofibrite and have a chance to get better fast and help clear the ICUs and hospitals. I would not even give them a choice on the matter. (They could be exempted if there was reason to fear a bad reaction, but that would be made by medical personnel, not people who have already demonstrated they do not understand medicine.)

When Traitor Trump proclaimed that Covid would disappear “magically”, he was right about the disappearance, but wrong about everything else (same as usual). It is hospital beds (and people) who are disappearing, and there is no “magic” about it. It is simply the foreseeable result of the depraved actions of a worthless piece of bleep who politicized normal basic common-sense precautions against a worldwide pandemic. You know, masks, social distancing, and so forth. Not all anti-vaxxers are Trump cultists, of course, but to this day Traitor Trump continues to have a great deal of blood on his hands.

Anyone wondering why the vaccine is becoming less effective should realize that it’s because the virus is using our vast pool of unvaccinated people in which to mutate to more vaccine-resistant forms — a well documented phenomenon with such other maladies as “golden staph”. So yeah, it’s not just the unvaccinated people themselves who will be paying the price for their stupid intransigence, it’ll be all of us.

Notes from the nurse’s break room:“Until you do 30+ minutes of CPR in a plastic gown, N-95 surgical mask, two pairs of gloves and a face shield, you should probably stop complaining about wearing some fabric on your face to the grocery store.”

Have you noticed how difficult it is to find enough nurses to work the ICUs, because of those who have gotten sick, or just plain worn out, taking care of patients who didn’t care enough to protect themselves? People who didn’t believe in the science until they got sick? People who said it was all a HOAX until their loved one was on a respirator?

The moron claims the vaccine is ineffective.

An Associated Press analysis of available government data from May shows that “breakthrough” infections in fully vaccinated people accounted for fewer than 1,200 of more than 107,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations. That’s about 1.1%.

And only about 150 of the more than 18,000 COVID-19 deaths in May were in fully vaccinated people. That translates to about 0.8%, or five deaths per day on average.

Yeah, being 100 times more likely to die if not vaccinated than if vaccinated is sure “ineffective.” What a moron.

Everyone should read this web site page. The synopsis and the report itself. And especially the discussion in the comments section among medical professionals, statisticians and other scientists.

The title of the study is

“Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity: reinfections versus breakthrough infections”

It is not yet peer reviewed but the credentials of the authors appear to be valid and quite relevant.
