Clara is obviously considering the benefits of keeping a mini-Claude.

Less to feed… and when he gets argumentative….

her purse has a nice big zipper compartment.

Then again…. what if there’s a spider in the kitchen again?

    Ponder ponder….

Herb should be considering taking over the driving.

    Hector (one of Scooter’s great-uncles) is a talented dog….

but I’m pretty sure he thinks cars can climb trees to catch squirrels.

    BTW …. great “poof!”

OK, just in case you think I’m nuts….

the foregoing was accidentally posted here instead of on yesterday’s forum.

So it refers to THIS Ballard St, and the Friday Cleo.

    I couldn’t believe I was the only Cleo poster….. and … um…. I wasn’t.

I just read all those comments now.

And I said almost the same thing there, but I’ll repeat it here…..

Welcome back, PerkyC…. and I’m very glad to know you’re safe!

I’ll be back in a bit, to make a side-by-side if there’s a new puzzle for Saturday, or to comment on the new Cleo if there isn’t.

And yes, I DO know you may think I’m nuts for totally different reasons…..

in which case this explanation won’t help much.

    Oh well….

    Ok, as promised…

    I’m baaack…..

    Thank you, Montana Lady.

    I’m (sniffle) touched.

And not just in the head!

    And here’s today’s side x side….

    Solve away!

Now that you’ve had a gander at the side by side I now present the solution to today’s (9/23) Cleo & Company puzzle.

Well, in both cases, the CBS audience won’t hear anything (its microphone cord has been cut – dum, dee, dum, dum). <;-)

    THE OLE SCALAWAG’S

    Saturday Puzzle Non Solution

    BOYCOTT ANNOUNCEMENT

1-4 & 6-9.  Highly technical (but boycott possibly related to: (1) Scalawagian response to objectification of masses as delusional single-issue kibble chompers, (2) Scalawagian reaction to the entertainment industry’s continuing obsession with the deification of progressive shibboleths, or (3) general Scalawagian laziness).

       5.  Top: Will No. 5 ever return to its proper chronological position? Bottom: Not until noted impresario Rotty Tailwagger’s name is featured IN A VERY LARGE AND PURPLY FONT on a future @IStellaBella movie poster.

I can’t believe I missed the one I did!!! It was so obvious that I completely missed it! As always, thanks to Susan for the side by side, and to X for the solution, and to Rotifer for his boycott (you must’ve missed the 57 Studebaker mirror on the wheelchair in the bottom panel).

And, of course, to The Great One for giving us a wacky puzzle for our Saturday! Now it’s time for some Kibble!
