As far as I know, Twitter is doing just fine.

The quackAnon congress woman got suspended from twitter for 12 hours. Her posts could be seen, but she couldn’t post. Boo hoo.

Wondering: Does Ramirez (still?) have a Twitter account?

Hmm. No, it’s more like the last airplane scene in “where eagles dare” where the traitor leaves the airplane. If only.

It’s going to be okay Mike. tRump is permanently banned and as social norms begin to return his followers will begin to slide back into the sewers he gave them permission to leave in the first place. But, most importantly, capitalism will win out and advertisers will return to Twitter so social influencers and inane talking heads can make a living.

You can’t incite insurrection and stay on Twitter or any other platform. The rise of Islamic terrorists is due to being radicalized on line. Now we have that happening in The USA, as demonstrated by the terrorists who attacked our Capitol

As with all social media, including this cartoon, if you don’t like it’s policies, no one is forcing you to use it. Go elsewhere. Please.

Yet again, Ramirez just doesn’t get it. When Twitter banned prominent, connected liars from its platform, the little blue bird became a phoenix, not a social-media casualty. Poor, poor, poor, ignorant Ramirez. I have no idea about his heritage, but I strongly suspect that, if Ramirez had been around in the late 30s, he would have enthusiastically ballyhooed Francisco Franco. Shame on Ramirez & his utterly flawed take on reality.

Twitter is a private company. Twitter can do anything. Long live capitalism.

There has apparently been a truly precipitous drop in the amount of pernicious nonsense in circulation since Twitter and Facebritches cut off Trump’s and a few other’s oxygen. (There’s always the Briefing Room, but Trumpy seems to have forgotten that it exists.)

Twitter is not in crash and burn mode. It will survive, as social media platforms are built on that trait in humanity called vanity. People love to see their ideas and their lives (such as they are), on the internet. A full life in this age is measured by the number of ‘likes’ one has. I have weaned myself off social media and this is the only place I come to now. It’s very enjoyable too.

All speech has limits. It took a while for Twitter to get rich enough to realize that. :)
