Nutter Buttercup’s emotional anchor is aweigh and hasn’t struck solid ground in 4 years. Why does anyone think he will change in the next few days . . . or ever?
Remove the ‘P’. I’d love to see him getting a jolly good outing. Perhaps the NY courts may do it? Out him, then imprison him. Problem is that if he did ‘do time’, he’d do it in some cushy federal pen with golf course for wealthy felons.
I attended an extensive, 9-day, live-in course on leadership with the National Guard, the officers in attendance were asked to come up with defining the essentials of leadership from the styles of leadership. I decided that if I took two leaders who were opposite, then what they had in common were the essentials.
I took Adolf Hitler and Jesus Christ. I came to the conclusion that there were three essentials:
A clear and compelling vision: For Hitler it was the Thousand Year Reich, for Christ it was the Kingdom of Heaven
The ability to deliver the vision effectively: If you want to study public speaking watch Hitler on newsreels; he threw his body into the art. The Bible tells stories of Jesus holding the interests of large crowds. Hitler also benefitted from the genius of Josef Goebbels.
Commitment to the cause and in some cases, even to death. Hitler died leading his troops against the Bolsheviks (history later revealed that he wimped out by committing suicide). Christ probably could have “beat the rap” with Pilot, if he just backed off and didn’t “double down.”
Now let’s compare this with Trump.
A clear and compelling vision: MAGA? First there is the assertion that America is not great, but if it isn’t then when was it great? What was life like then? We never got a clear picture. All we have is a fuzzy vision of white, male supremacy.
Delivering the vision: Trump is barely literate and borders between comical and pathetic when delivering speeches. He uses vague terms like tremendous, beautiful, huge and soon instead of “hard metrics” which make rare appearances and then are usually wrong. He ascribes his knowledge to sources such as “they say,” “I’ve heard,” “somebody told me” and the ever popular, “everybody knows.”
Commitment to the Cause: When the going gets tough, Trump blames someone else. He says he is not responsible and it is true: he is the most irresponsible person I know of.
As a result, America is wandering around witless and leaderless.
There are men who pay prostitutes to spank them or whip them or inflict pain on them. These men are called masochists. That’s what the Republicans must be. They can’t seem to get enough of losing and they keep coming back for more.
On the other hand they could probably also identify with the prostitutes. They sold whatever loyalty to the Constitution they might have had for their own re-election hopes under their guise of loyalty to Trump. He pays them with possible votes from his “base” and they turn the trick.

I’m okay with POUTUS, but concerned that he’s got all kinds of horrors available to him if he decides to pull it all down around him.

And he’s going to have a pissing contest with the ayatollahs. That won’t have repercussions.

One of these days, the bloated orange blob will be gone. It’ll be … like a miracle! (but not soon enough.)

Think of how many worship the ground on which he walks.
I worship the ground in which he’ll be planted.

When one door closes, expect another one to open. That will be the bathroom door where Trump is on the toilet sending out his first Tweet for the day.
