One thumping left. If anyone had any doubts that the far right, tea party extremists that now call themselves Republicans, are traitors, and hate our democracy, the lawsuits by the treasonous red state politicians should remove any doubts.
If the courts don’t gain control over the rule of law and THE CONSTITUTION, The Repulsican Crime Cult’s armed thugs will be happy to install THE ORANGE IDIOT as emperor for life. I think a mass trial for sedition would be instructive and appropriate. Feb 20, 2019Sedition – FindLawcriminal.findlaw.com › criminal-charges › sedition: Is Sedition a crime in us? Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in \prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.
Some of my right wing friends on FB are demanding that they round up and arrest the poll workers and extract “confessions” from them. What they are really proposing is what was a common occurrence in Mississippi when I was growing up. Round up some suspects and drag them into a room, and beat confessions out of them.

.Supreme Court dismisses bid led by Texas attorney general to overturn the presidential election results, blocking Trump’s legal path to reverse his loss
This link below is re the suit that tried to deprive other states of their Constitutionally granted state powers, the one the Supreme Court rejected, and which EVERY Supreme Court Justice considered to be without any basis. (Alito and Thomas say they would have heard it but would have voted against TX; the others considered it such an unConstitutional sham that they decided to not even hear it.). One scary thing is that there were so many elected legislators and some other Attorneys General who were supportive of destroying a basic Constitutional state power in PA, GA, WI, and MI. When a person discusses states rights this one is about as basic as it gets.
Even worse: can you believe there are actually some elected legislators from those four targeted states who were willing to totally screw over their own states and their own voters?
Now, granted, rumor has it that at least several state legislators have been threatened by reactionary groups saying they would bomb their homes and murder their families so that might also be happening to federal ones, but the right thing to do then is to get police and FBI protection, not undermine the very foundations of our nation and our states, to which they took an oath that they have violated.
Hopefully, the ones who were did that are voted out next time around (if they already were not this time), preferably by failing in their primaries with more honorable candidates run, and that is true for the ones who did that from every state.

The unprecedented nature of the Paxton suit, plus the fact that the state’s chief appellate lawyer, Kyle Hawkins, did not sign the Texas brief as he usually would do, has spurred speculation that Paxton is seeking a pardon. He is currently under indictment over securities fraud, and is being investigated by the FBI on bribery and abuse of power allegations.
