MJ Hegar who is running against Corydon Texas senate was an army medevac helicopter pilot in Afgan and during an evacuation, her copter was hit by a missile wounding her. The copter was down and was under attack by Taliban; she and a crew member fought them off until second copter arrives. She is bleeding but gets her wounded to the new copter. She straps herself onto the skid of the new copter and returns fire at the Taliban. Like Tammy Duckworth, what heroes.

No, they aren’t. I had mine surgically removed in a doctor’s office- took about twenty minutes, totally recovered in three weeks, and haven’t come back in two decades. Would never have been a valid reason to keep someone from serving. The fact that he considered serving his county to be only for “losers” and “suckers”? That’s not a defect that can be surgically removed.
