Goya CEO fully supports the Mango Mistake. And something about the way they’re displayed, or the labels or something always makes me think twice when I’m considering whether to buy one of their products. Dunno. Rubs me the wrong way, subtly.
Once upon a time (this ain’t no ‘fairy tale’ ) my brother decided to grow a goatee during the time his son was stationed in Korea with the Air Force. His wife said he looked like Col. Sanders. So he gets a bucket of KFC and has his picture taken in front of the fireplace that has a large seascape painting above it. Having received an early home edition of Adobe PhotoShop with a scanner purchase . . .I decided to replace the seascape with Goya’s Naked Maja also sporting a goatee of sorts. I make a nice color 8×10 and send it back via snail mail. Brother is at work when the mail arrives and wife is having a ladies Bible study group over for coffee . . . .I guess you all know what a ‘spit take’ is . . . Don’t know what part of the Bible they were discussing at the time . . . maybe Moses parting the Red Sea ?
Makes one sick doesn’t it.. to see what some men will do in he presence of trump. Puts them slightly behind a street prostitute in the moral values category.
We read about it recently, and in the past we were among the non-Latinos who weekly bought Goya products, but were so disgusted by the Goys CEO’s sycophantic comments about Trump that we have begun buying other brands. So, our choice might become either a short term or long term one if Goya replaces that CEO, but that will depend on his replacement, and if we do or don’t find other brands to be every bit as good or better.
Poor Lalo. The boycott is blowing up in your face.
Goya Foods is a poster child example of LEGAL immigrants building the American Dream. Starting with almost nothing, working hard and making a future. Generations of the same family building on that initial success.
And what do you do, Lalo? Professional activist? Perpetual wounded man?
In the Midwest I don’t have any familiarity with Goya, though I see it’s headquartered in NJ. Bush brand beans seems to dominate in MN, but not related to the presidents. I never realized even beans can be politicized! I’m guessing the after-effects are the same regardless of brand.
Have you noticed how everything that causes coronavirus is something that the cheeto does not like? As in 5g because China was the front runner, which transmits the virus, Bill Gates who exposed the incompetence of the cheeto invented the virus and intends to use the vaccine to track everybody, and conspired with Obama and the WHO which recommends the exact opposite of what the cheeto says and that according to Yahoo news survey half of the cheeto supporters believe this? But it may be just a coincidence that the very same PR office of the white house sent a folder about quotes out of context to fox news about Fauci

I always wondered why this brand left a bad taste in my mouth…

Interesting. A guy who puts politics ahead of his people and his company.
You’d think a guy who got so far would be smarter. Worshipping the golden calf trump.
