Is this the straw that breaks the camel’s back?

" A majority of Trump voters want to protect so-called Dreamers from deportation, according to a new poll, putting pressure on President Donald Trump to shield immigrants who were brought to the country illegally as children."

He has called out the Supreme Court for sanctuary cities and DACA, but didn’t say much about the LGBTQ equality decision. He is still courting them for votes. As if.

I’ve said it before, I think Roberts wants a good legacy. Cruz being the good Christian he is (I’m sure he is as holy as Trump) is all up in arms that they can’t cage the kids and exile them to countries they are unfamiliar with.

One good decision does not change the basic makeup of this court. Even Trump is right, once in a while.

Pretty well, as his knee jerk Presidential Orders have been favored by SCOTUS more often than not.

I’m not clear on the details, but at least one commentator said that the Roberts-written comment on the decision did not rule on the Constitutionality of DACA but simply said that the case presented by Trump’s team did not offer a well-reasoned argument for its own position. In short, their case was sloppily thrown together to hurry the process of making good on an election promise to Trump’s base.

This suggests that if they try again with more carefully argued rationale, that Roberts would be just fine with overturning the Obama rule. It seems that if a President can create the rule, another President can undo it… if they avoid hastily prepared arguments. The denial of Trump’s case amounts to pointing out a clerical error… and implicitly suggests how to fix that if they care to pursue Trump’s original goal. It can be read as, “Try again, guys.”

Probably not enough time to do this before the inauguration of President Biden… assuming that happens,

Kavanaugh voted against the equal rights issue and then issued an apology. I do hope this helps him sleep better.

Is that Supreme Court Judge Gorsuch in your “pocket” or just a pickle the Democrats sent you? Maybe you should ask him to “Come up and see me some time”

I voted for Trump and all I got was a MAGA t-shirt.

(No court, no wall, no Obamacare replacement, no end of DACA, no overturn of abortion rights, putting gays back in the closet, no winning….)

Why do these cartoonists insist on distorting the facts? The ruling is procedural and spells out how to change the next EA to meet the legal standard. Slam dunk.

The real question here is how the Court made the leap to have a higher standard for repeal than for the original proclamation. That would be like Congress passing a law with a slim majority that included a clause that it can’t be overturned/repealed unless they have a super-majority. Can’t do it.

Again, I’m waiting for that televised, all over the world, schadenfreude moment when the handcuffed Orange Obesity is doing his perp walk prior to his extended tropical vacation at lovely Guantanamo – that’s where we send all of the US’s rotten traitors, right? There’s a 9-hole golf course there, but not for use by prisoners. He can write a book he’ll call, “My Struggles” – if they give him crayons – NOT a Sharpie – they tend to be permanent . . .
