The whole hoopla over the Trump pseudo-candidacy wouldn’t exist if the GOP had a potential candidate who didn’t drool on him/herself …

    … just sayin’.

    Well, the GOP has…um…well there’s…Lessee…..hmmm.

Well, I’m betting Marks’ mailman would be a better President than Obama…or anyone the GOP comes up with too…

Mark’s Mailman for President! I’ve even got a slogan “Hey! I can’t do any WORSE than the last bunch!”

It’s a clever ruse by the Democrats. Imagine if one of the biggest donors to the Democratic Party ran for President as a Republican…

NPR receives (received?) less federal money than a whackjob creationist “university” founded by Jerry Falwell’s son (and when a local paper’s website reported this, the university blocked access to that website).

According to NPR station sites, most NPR stations get well under ten percent of their funding from the government (the amount of federal funding is somewhat higher in “red” states, oddly enough). The largest component of funding is listener donations, followed by “foundations and grants,” which is another way of saying “corporations.” As a result, Tigger, NPR is only “liberal” in comparison to Faux Noise. It is far too dependent on corporate money to run anything any further to the left than, say, Ronald Reagan.

Same thing’s happening at PBS, by the way. Notice how their flagship science show NOVA has become really soft and fluffy on environmental topics of late, particularly shying away from any comments about the deleterious effects of burning fossil fuels? Now look at the list of funding sources that scrolls by at the beginning and end, and notice the name “David H. Koch.” Yes, that David Koch. PBS grovels at the feet of Big Money just like any two-bit politician.

As they used to say in Russia, “there is no pravda in Izvestia and no izvestia in Pravda

No one has ever mocked Trump’s hair with greater finesse. No one. Ever. This is the Chuck Norris of mockage.

DanHills: As mentioned above, Scwartzenager is not “natural born”–and Coleman is no longer with us (died 5/28/10). Although The Donald may not run for prez, I think he is going to remain a celebrity as long as he lives; however, I sure hope that’s not true for Caribou Barbie. Other than being former-beauty-contest-winner cute and having an ability to spout & shout pre-scripted sound bites, exactly what is CB’s claim to fame?

Trump should choose a running mate that would create a buzz, and reflect the direction he wants us to go … Trump/Davis.

Trump will probably buy Trudeau’s apt bld now, just to evict him. Can you imagine those two at a Knicks game?

Trump’s “celebrity” is pretty much limited to the consciousness of New Yorkers and to readers of Doonesbury. It has probably peaked today–and with this strip.

billdog “genius”< Odd thing is, Ayn Rand did have a sense of humor - unlike many of her non-readers… Her sense of sensibility included the observation that the phrase “I Love You” starts with “I”.. and to quote a more modern philosopher/icon, RuPaul, “If you can’t love yourself, who the Hell CAN you love?”

Looking forward to sharing an oar on the Titanic life-boat with you.

This from 2019: Garry Trudeau always knew that Trumo had presidential aspirations (I think this started in 1997, maybe even 1987, I’m not sure) but he knew! But I think he was as flabbergasted as the rest of the world when the USA made this oaf POTUS.
