For a 5 year old a cardboard box can be as amusing as a live toy.

Amazing! Calvin can create a human clone machine from a cardboard box; but, his imagination won’t allow him to fly using a beanie. Must have something to do with the fact that his past achievements were the results of only his efforts. Move over Hawking, this kid’s going to be a Theoretical Physicist from hell.

I think the third panel image is the one that got certain fame used in antifascism marchs in Europe on the 90’s, switching a swastika for the beannie. I am not sure, googled it and didn´t found any image yet.

As I said before, I rather doubt that the little propellor of beanie fame was anything but a whimsical ornament. It would after all be hard to get a “motor” and its batteries into the crown of a beanie.

When Forey Ackerman first devised the propeller beanie (Using a yarmulke and parts from a toy airplane) it was for cosplay at the very first WorldCon. I understand that he still had the thing when he passed away.
