If dying is like a permanent sleep, I wonder if when you die, you find yourself in a permanent dream until your brain eventually rots away.

He’s grasping

As a kid I used to have a reoccurring nightmare that I was falling from a cliff and awoke in a sweat. Finally, one night I did not awake and hit the ground below. The landing was very gentle. I’ve never forgotten that, and I’ve never dreamed of falling again.

Is Calvin on his Last Gasp?

When anyone dies they go straight to God or straight to hell. Depends if you serve God while you are alive or if you don’t. Give your heart to Jesus and you won’t have to worry about it.

When I was my early 20s, and working in general aviation, I had a dream that I was in a Bonanza that was flying less than a hundred feet above the ground. It went through a narrow pass (I have no idea who was flying it) and impacted on the other side of it. I woke up several seconds later, after some disjointed scenes. Weird.

Did anyone hear that old legend as a kid that if you hit the ground in a dream where you’re falling, you’ll die? Friend told me that in second grade and I believed them.
