My elementary school building, was and still is, decorated with the flags of all the world’s nations and we were taught about the contributions that the many immigrants brought to America as they worked their way to citizenship. We were not taught to fear and despise the newcomers but to help them and in the process learn new things which could make America stronger and smarter … a haven for the world’s best and brightest. I don’t see how a isolationist, xenophobic, white supremacist country could accomplish what America has accomplished as a nation of immigrants.

Wrong fairy tale character. Trump is more like the boy who cried “Wolf!” Has any allegation he’s ever made even had a grain of truth in it?

Far too many people believe his ‘squawking’ and worse, believe in him. I’m sure his flock would drink the Kool-Aid.

I’ve given the illegal immigration situation a lot of careful thought. And I got to wondering if we obtained “legal immigrant status” back in the late 1500 and early 1600’s from the Native American peoples we found here? If not, I wonder if they could now argue for our deportation? Oh wait, they were “uncivilized savages” weren’t they, so our invasions, treaty-breaking, land usurping, and general wholesale slaughter of the indigenous peoples was completely and morally justifiable. Do I have it right?

Actually, Trac is right…the cartoonist DID get 3 out of 4 right. Trump IS a cowardly chicken, he IS fat, and he IS spewing insane conspiracy nonsense. The only thing Jeff got wrong is that Trump would NEVER run, he’d be in a golf cart!

Of course he’s going around squawking about the sky falling. His followers eat it up. What did you think he’s doing this for our benefit? Hell no! He’s making sure his followers stay firmly ensconced in their reality bubble.
