If only those immoral Liberals weren’t picking on those poor old white males, all would be well.

    " …

Welcome to Identity Politics 2.0, where non-minorities are no longer benignly ignored, but actively reviled, and where the rights of the marginalized are secured at the expense of the rights of privileged. Under this regime, privileged identities (like male or white) are only recognized in order to be excoriated. Identity Politics has thus become somewhat of a misnomer. What we are dealing with today is an ideology that views the traditionally disadvantaged and the oppressed as deserving of more resources and respect than the traditionally advantaged. This ideology is fundamentally backward-looking: the more a particular group has been dishonored and oppressed in the past, the higher its moral status today. Males without college degrees may be faring rather poorly in contemporary America, but because males were supposedly not victimized in the past, they receive little sympathy.

    …"

The U.S. lost track of 1,475 immigrant children last year. Here’s why people are outraged now.

Donald, we live on a planet, not a lifeboat. Should the simple humanity of that statement elude you, if it were a lifeboat, you would not be on it.

Notice the low number of comments. The only liberals commenting are the clowns who haven’t yet gotten the message.

    1. The photo was from 2014. Kids in cages was an Obama thing.

    2. They were not separated from their parents. Those were unaccompanied minors.

Trump should end with: Unless the mothers and babies are from Norway (i.e. white). It is somewhat odd that Hitler and the Nazis thought that the “Nordic” racial type was especially highly evolved of all Humans.

@William Bednar – not odd at all, actually, since it was based on totally bogus theories which really boiled down to “the less dark you are, the better you are.” Since “race” has no biological basis whatsoever, it was a stupid idea from the beginning, but racism knows no logic.

What is grimly amusing to me is that Trump would welcome people from the Nordics with open arms — but God forbid he should implement their socialist institutions…

ANDYLIT’s link contains the following about the old story about people in cages. AL is trying to discredit the story about 1500 missing children by pointing out that some commenters linked to the wrong story. So the story about the missing children is TRUE while the pics about people in cages is unrelated.

" perhaps spurred by unrelated reports that Homeland Security “lost track of” almost 1,500 illegal-immigrant minors after they were released "

Right wingers are taking children away from their parents like the Nazis did.

They sadistically appear to be enjoying it.

ANDYLIT, there were people that made a mistake linking the children in cages to the missing 1500 people; looks like Bors is one making that incorrect link. However, there are 1500 children the government lost track of that came to US an unaccompanied refugees.

Disgusting that you are having so much “fun” at the expense of children.

It is always amusing to watch Nance dance around the edges of reality.

Point 1. I have fun watching you liberals get sucked into your own phony propaganda. The kids have nothing to do with the source of the amusement. But, nice try Nance. Your shaming efforts should be applied to your fellow kooks.

Point 2. It appears that the lost 1500 are actually not lost at all. What happened is that 1475 of the caregivers simply failed to respond to a survey. Nope, not lost at all. I’m so sorry to have deprived you of your faux outrage.

Let’s not forget that Obama DEPORTED more Illegals then ANY other President…but the reich-wingnuts would have you believe that he threw open the gates…

Figures released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on December 5th show that the total number of deportations has declined over the past fiscal year—from October 1st 2016 to September 30th 2017—to the lowest level seen since 2006.

Elevating this comment so it doesn’t get missed:

Ever been to the Nordics, @Andylit? I have, and know many people from there. They like it. (And I am in a management consulting firm, so we’re not talking low-paid individuals, either.) They like it because (in part) they have a government that works for them instead of against them like the Trump administration. For example, because Norsk Hydro was partially owned by the government, it insisted that their oil rigs had the protective devices that were NOT used in the Gulf Coast rigs, thanks to Dick Cheney.

They also are among the happiest people in the world. In the latest World Happiness Report:

    1. Finland

    2. Norway

    3. Denmark

    4. Iceland

Notice a pattern? Oh, and before you ask – Sweden is #9, and the US is #18, having dropped four places.

So, the “cages” reference is best summed up here:https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/childrens-concentration-camp/

I’m not sure that the cartoon is implying about any of this though, other than that Trump is still trying (and failing) at the deportation game and appears to be continuing our terrible treatment of immigrants, while remaining pretty clearly pro white supremacy.

BRASS ORCHID, the racist Dixiecrats (KKK, etc.) moved to the Republican Party right after the Civil Rights Act was signed. Strom Thurmond was a Dem when he filibustered the Act, then switched to being a Republican after CRA was signed. Think about Nixon’s “Southern Strategy”.
