I take an extra week for my vacations because I need a week to recuperate from all the running around and pressure to be somewhere at a specific time.

A whole day without phones. I would SO love that, but the current demands don’t allow for that. I DO leave the phone on the counter while I have a bare-footed, adult beverage, unwind hour under a shade tree. Aaahhhhh.

Actually, this is the sort of day my grandson would love to have with his Dad. Just the two of them alone together so they can talk.

Good on Calvin for being such a good sport and accompanying Dad for a morning of tranquility… ending in 5… 4 … 3…

Spiff seems to be in too deep, this time!

Can Dad SEE without his glasses? How does he bait a hook with crappy vision?

It would be interesting to see how nostalgic Calvin would be in the future when thinking back on these days.

Dad went from four eyes to two eyes to one eye.

Pretty much how I felt when I got dragged along on “fun” family fishing trips.

Dad looks so good without glasses he should get contacts.
