Times are tough even in Fairyland, I see.

She had to live on a shoestring budget as her family’s sole provider.

That reminds me of a Mad Magazine poem from about 35 years ago:

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She said, “With my income, it’s all I can do.” It may be substandard, but just down the block. I know an old woman who lives in a sock.

Now she’s a shoo-in for goverment assistance

I’ve heard the term ”Give them the boot”

But this gives it a whole new meaning!!

TImes so tough, even the color was repossessed.

That stinks!

Apparently forced to downsize. Maybe they’ll get lucky and slip into something more comfortable.
