Someone should be in an institution.

Her head’s 6 feet under and her hat’s in an institution. It figures.

The irony is that the RHS formed an organization around a woman who celebrated nonconformity.

Folks, please note we have a trolling imposter who has stolen the original Schrodinger’s Dog’s name and avatar. The troll began in the comments for Luann and is now branching out to other comics the original S’Dog follows. You can distinguish the real S’Dog from the fake: the fake is the GC Insider.

Yesterday, you could also distinguish them because the fake’s name on his profile was in all-caps. Today, he’s changed it to be exactly the same.

    Real S’Dog: Schrodinger’s Dog Free

Trolling, fake Dog: Schrodinger’s Dog Premium

    Please don’t feed the troll.

Back in the early sixties, my college roommate and I used to recite that poem from memory…(in unison)…”When I am old, I shall wear purple/ and a red hat….". She died several years ago, so we were unable to fulfil our vow to go to the grocery store on roller skates, with a market basket on our arm. But I do wear a lot of purple in her memory.

I didn’t know what Red Hat was until I ran into a meeting at a Cracker Barrel. Was nearly blinded.

I joined a Red Hat Society group in 2002. I thought it was fun, but the the leader of our little group got breast cancer and quit. The group broke up and was never re-established. There may be other groups in my town, but am not interested any longer.

I saw a group of them at a coffee shop here, once. I’m sorry but whoever thought red hats with purple dresses looked good must have been color blind. Red and purple? Just….no.

Thank You So Much Brian Crane for helping The Red Hat Society Celebrate its 20th birthday today! I have been a member for 13 years and I am so happy that there is an organization that allows women approaching 50 and beyond the permission to dress-up, laugh, play and really care about each other…

IMO, Earl’s speech balloon containing “Her head?” should have been in the third panel, so that Opal could upend his chair in the fourth.
