It’s exactly what Trump wants them to do. Isn’t that what he said in his speeches?

All depends on who you are. If you’re a middle aged suburban white guy like me, the motto is simply “To protect and serve.” If you’re an inner city black person, that motto seems to become “To execute at the slightest provecation.”

When the suspect is shot in the back, the officer was NOT in fear for his life. Sorry, bub, but that doesn’t wash.

That list is available to all citizens – the order is by color variants, with the whites getting service and protections and the darkest getting sentenced and executed. System racism means the system works again you because of your skin color – white privilege is holding a shower head on your front lawn and not being shot dead.

    Same as It ever Was.

The ever fearful white middle-class demands this of the police… The thin blue liners are only doing what mainstream America wants. Security from its perception of anarchy seen by them as embodied in blacks, and the white working-class and poor, Mexicans et al.

Twenty plus rounds fired at a guy in Sacramento with a cell phone, possible vandalism, insane excuse for police action. Which IS the “gun problem” NRA wants lots of rounds and guns for everyone. If even the cops can no longer recognize the ethics of when to fire, and how MUCH force is actually required, what is a “civilian” supposed to do, other than empty a full magazine of .45 APC at any threat, like his 10 year old sleep walking in the middle of the night

When there is more people take a plea deal then go to trial shows how much trust there is in getting a fair trial in our judicial system.

Kind of like the plea deal Trump took for his con game “Trump University”?

But as for the cartoon itself: I KNOW cops. I lLIKE cops. I’m FRIENDS with cops. (They don’t even make me say this! At least, not always…………)

Why does it take an hour to do all the things listed ob the Cop Car? Well, the driver has to stop for doughnuts and coffee, you know.

Off Topic – Anybody notice (~3:00PM) GoComics has screwed up the site – AGAIN ! My navigation bar is gone – again. Checking comics in sequence, or just getting from one to another, is scrogged. GC – WTF ? Do you WANT us all to LEAVE ? Arbitrary change without Subscriber/viewer benefit is surely one way to achieve that !

BTW, in making over 1,200 felony arrests, including four folk with guns (one had 9 homicide warrants out for his arrest, killed one cop), never shot anyone. I would have been ready and wlling to shoot, if NECESSARY, but observation of the situation, and handling it properly, made that not necessary.
