The sun reflects the water and this can happen.

It’s quite obvious, y’all. It’s 378 nautical miles (NM) from our favorite decoy world, Froglandia. Pay attention next time. It’s written all over that purple guy’s face. Or is that his butt?

378 NM seems like a long way to go, but he’s got high hopes.

Japanese researchers from Tohoku University describe in the journal Scientific Reports that certain wavelengths of visible light are lethal to certain species of insects. For instance, blue light (wavelength = 467 nm) was nearly 100% lethal to fruit fly pupae, while ultraviolet A light (wavelength = 378 nm) was only about 40% lethal.

Man, that is one freaky fisherman. Considering how odd-looking some sea creatures are, he probably looks on the normal side.

See this blob sculpin (Psychrolutes phrictus):

This is so far out to sea that I cannot even see the sea! Why does Sister need a scarecrow-rower in her skiff? Scaring away the circling Great Whites? Lending authenticity to the studio photoshoot? Making us wonder how hard it will be to row, row, row 378 Nautical Miles?

It’s a slow boat to China from Froglandia….

This could be a vaguely Lovecraftian story only with Silurian Sea Scorpions acting like people. Where have all the humans gone?
