The important thing is that more guns were sold. This is all that matters. As the fine men of Oaf Keepers point out, any other concerns are pure communism.

The sheriff’s deputies are being lambasted for not committing suicide. What happened to BLUE LIVES MATTER!? I guess it only applies when the bad ones shoot unarmed Blacks.

This is the default reflex for today’s police.

If a teacher has a gun in class, where would it be kept? In a holster- either ankle or waist? Easy for anyone to get to. In a drawer? locked on unlocked? Locked, it would be all over before she could get to it. Unlocked, again any student could get to it easily. The only thing that putting more guns into schools accomplishes is to eliminate the necessity of the angry student having to find his own. And, having to find his own at least requires a cooling off period between finding out you flunked algebra and killing the algebra teacher and anyone else who’s handy.

The NRA does strongly promote cop killing, armor piercing bullets.

@ASDF1234567890-This appears to be a cut and paste. I’ve seen it before with the same misspellings. I don’t know if the posting is from a troll or bot, but it is suspect.

The NRA promotes lead (poisonous) rounds that pollutes our environment and sickens hunters and indoor target shooters, when there are better cost effective metals available for ammunition.

Florida teens march to reduce guns in our country, Florida moves to arm teachers instead. A teacher is in custody after firing a gun inside a Georgia High School. What will stop these teacher warriors from shooting up schools? From mistaking teachers for the suspects and getting shot by police? From threatening students with guns for classroom disruptions?

It is the responsibility of the entire community to keep students safe, what is next? Body cams on teachers who are carrying weapons?

If a white teacher legally carries an assault rifle, the police will react calmly – but immediately pull their guns to a black man doing the same thing. Studies have been done to show how systemic racism affects how legal gun owners are treated different depending on the color of their skin. The Minnesota officer who killed a licensed gun owner who volunteered that he had gun means these black teachers with their guns can be picked off, and there will be no consequences.

Run, hide, fight, shelter in place, if you see something say something. None of that saved 17 children from being massacred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida. Police are trained to attack active shooters, but the school resource officer in Florida did not attack, and waited for the SWAT team instead. How can we expect a teacher to deal with this? How can we expect a teacher to defend the school from an active shooter AND the police?

The problem is the gun – reduce the assault style military type weapons given to civilian population

My right wing friends back in Mississippi frequently post on Facebook a little meme showing a guy with a holstered pistol sitting at a lunch counter, with comment below saying “share if you would be comfortable with this”, which, of course, they all do. I’ve always wondered why they never shared one displaying a black guy sitting there.

BO above resorts to the analog to the Benghazi cry when referencing HRC, “Chicago, Chicago, Chicago!” Chicago is to gun control as Benghazi is to H. R. Clinton.
