The main reason for the second amendment was to allow militias in slave states to cross state lines and recover run away slaves. When the thirteenth amendment was ratified, it should have nullified the second.
Or when the standing army first stood up…..A canvas with bullet holes would probably be better than the blank one, of course, but nobody ever called W. an artiste!
Sadly, the survivors of the Parkland school shooting; who are speaking out AGAINST the NRA and FOR the banning of assault weapons and FOR sensible gun control; are getting death threats from members of the NRA!!!!! Hopefully the NRA is reaping the results of it’s irresponsible terrorist attitudes and for the NRA’s worship of Mammon. It is truly unfortunate that an organization that was started as a gun safety and teaching organization has been twisted into something so reprehensible as to fully deserve its new title America’s homegrown terrorist organization.
Personally I don’t have a problem with the Second Amendment. However, I do have a problem with all those gun-toting nutjobs who disregard the “WELL REGULATED MILITIA” part. Unless you’re under orders of a state or federal militia you have no rights to military grade weapons and yes the AR15 is military grade. Ask anyone who has fired one in the military like myself. I’ve also trained on M16’s, AK47’s, H&K’s and various SAW’s, All military grade with no purpose for civilians. It’s time for the NRA to get real again and get back to it’s hunting and sportsmanship roots and stop supporting domestic terrorism.

Well, Bush is right, as are all Trump Disciples.
Even the tiniest little speck of paint on that canvas would be exactly the same as total confiscation of all guns.
