For more on the philosophical differences between Adams and Jefferson that is easy to follow and fewer than 300 pages, I always recommend PASSIONATE SAGE by Joseph Ellis. As usual, his Jefferson book got more notoriety than his Adams book (SAGE), but isn’t that the way it’s always been between those two? (With the exception of the delightful 1776)
For a more in-depth analysis of the difference between Adams and Jefferson on American government, read Gordon Woods most recent book, friends divided. As someone who reads a lot of presidential history, I really enjoy your Comics, Brian.

It only works because the lazy (insert derogatory name here) in this country either can’s or won’t think for themselves.

Adams:Mr. Livingston, maybe you should write it
You have many friends and you’re a diplomat
Franklin:
Oh, that word!
Adams:Whereas if I’m the one to do it
They’ll run their quill pens through it
Others:He’s obnoxious and disliked; did you know that?
Livingston:I hadn’t heard

Are the Russian Trolls and Bot having sex and need some lube (KY), or do they want to go to Kentucky (KY)?

I try to watch 1776 once every year or two. Last time I saw it on Broadway, Brent Spiner played Adams. Long show, but delightful!
