Gay Marriage / LGBT : I have to admit I, as a Progressive, do feel gays are humans and deserve the rights everyone else enjoys. I feel bad that you feel they should be repressed and trod on.
Wealth Redistribution : Are you kidding ? The tax rate for the highest wage earners 65 years ago was 92%.
Global Warming : I’m sorry, but it wasn’t Progressives who caused global warming. Look toward your Republican business counterparts.
Social Justice : Look, if you want to stratify society to the haves and the have nots, those who deserve justice and those who do not, I won’t follow you, I just hope, for your sake, you don’t find yourself on the other side of the fence some day.
Anti-Christianity : Give me a break ! No one has degraded Christianity but the Conservative Christians. They have made this once loving religion into a private club based on hatred.
Anti-Oil : It seems to me it’s Reactionaries like you that refuse to accept cleaner, safer alternative fuels that are more friendly to the environment and are more plentiful. If we don’t broaden our energy horizons (no pun intended) we’ll be kind of stuck when the resources run out.
JLOCKE, plenty of people on the left are Christians. The ones that claim Christianity of the right are against helping the poor and they want to hang on to all of their money rather than paying taxes to support things like infrastructure, schools, etc. The ones in the right are completely against the teachings of Christ.
People on the left want renewable energy to to combat the effects of global warming. It is a shame that you do not “believe” in science.
