The 2nd amendment does NOT say everybody can have their own personal arsenal and not be regulated. The interpretation of it has been so perverted today that the founding fathers would not recognize it. “Well regulated militia” is completely ignored by many who claim to support the 2nd amendment. The people’s rights can not be infringed to have arms in support of a well regulated militia. If you are not using those rights to support a well regulated militia then the right does not exist.
Please note that Iowa Senator Charles Ernest Grassley was the principal sponsor of the stand-alone bill that Donald John Trump signed (his very FIRST!) removing ALL restrictions on “mentally ill” people purchasing firearms.
Now note that that SAME Senator Grassley was just caught on video propounding the idea that Congress must make sure that the “mentally ill” have no access to firearms!
Kinda makes you wonder if Chucky sponsored Trump’s very first piece of legislation so that the two of them could buy a weapon without any ‘nasty’ questions being asked, doesn’t it?

Folks, please remember that for all intents and purposes the second amendment, which is a valid right, is completely and utterly fulfilled by the presence of the National Guard (i.e. citizen soldiers). Every state has a national guard, has the right to a national guard, and thus a “well-regulated militia”. The rights of the people to bear arms has not been infringed and will not as long as the national guard exists. Military equipment is meant for military use, and if you support the second amendment you support the arming of a citizen militia and NOT private citizens.
If the American people ever got this, the NRA wouldn’t exist.
