The kid makes you want to pay the school bully to “mentor” him. I was raised by a single parent, didn’t even know what an allowance was until my kids came along.

And yes I am old enough to have gotten several of those AND guess what – I learned from them. Like not calling my dad a skinflint or giving my opinion without being asked. Sometimes even manners for me had to be learned the hard way. BUT I learned and fast. Much faster than a lot of kids seem to learn today.
