D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser on Wednesday responded to the idea of the parade, saying through a spokeswoman that if Trump wants to hold a parade in D.C., “he will have to pay for it” himself.

You know he’ll require them to look at him instead of looking forward. However in the “can we make lemonade out of this?” spirit of things….. What if we get Musk to put a Falcon Heavy in the parade…pause in front of his throne, cheer him to get in, and ride on top….then launch it? Can’t say its my idea. Can’t remember where I read it but the idea is out there.

Can American soldiers even do a goose step? As someone who marched in more than a few parades (RCN) I can’t wait to see the spectacle of trumps parade.. the wannabe supreme leader clapping… the world laughing and any sane Americans groaning

Not for Trump it isn’t – he threatened them with charges of Treason if they DIDN’T goose step for him. No president has made the troops goose-step higher!

George W Bush condemns bigotry and lies in coded attack on Trump

“Bigotry seems emboldened,” said Bush, who has seen controversy over his 2001-09 presidency among liberals and abroad eclipsed by the outrage surrounding Trump. “Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication.”

He added: “Bigotry in any form is blasphemy against the American creed and it means the very identity of our nation depends on the passing of civic ideals to the next generation. We need a renewed emphasis on civic learning in schools.”

Bush took shots at the “governing class” while hinting at aspects of Trump’s presidency.

“Our young people need positive role models,” he said. “Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone, provides permission for cruelty and bigotry, and compromises the moral education of children.”

Although Bush has largely stayed out of politics since leaving office, his family’s disdain for Trump is well documented.

“…compromises the moral education of children.” Until we stop laying off children as the reason for being decent, self-disciplined, controlling our appetites, having integrity and honesty and moral values deeper than our skin and not derived from the lowest impulses of human nature, there is no point in attempting “moral education” of children. They see through it and become what we ARE, not what we teach. Sorry, but we can’t be a nation of moral hyenas and expect our children to be decent.

Instead of copying France’s military parade why not copy France’s health care system?

Less expensive health care for all with low cost prescription drugs.

Maybe the Rockettes can put on a parade for him. It would hold his attention longer than his real interest in our military folks well-being.

The reason those soldiers are doing the goose-step is because they’re trying to not trip over Trump’s extra long red tie. I’m wondering if his red ties are a tribute to Putin or to his voter base in the red States?

I was expecting this, just not so early. The USA hasn’t fallen yet to the Radical Libertarians who want to core it out and replace with a Calhoun interpretation of our Constitution. (One of the troubles that the others have with Trump is that he keeps jumping the gun and showing their true colors way too early.)

Dow Jones went 1,000 points down, 10% in free fall.
