The sad fact of the matter is that republicans and also Donald John Trump are dead set on obliterating EVERYTHING that even bears the odor of Barack Obama, Note, however, that this will immediately go to litigation and the ‘wolves’ who benefit from this revocation of common good, won’t descend on the everyday user of the ‘Net’ until AFTER the dust has settled on this whole debacle. So in all probability, given the collective ‘memory’ of the average American, which can be compared to the lifespan of a Mayfly, they will be ‘blindsided’ by a massive increase in rate or a massive deterioration in service quality, presently, and have NO CLUE as to what happened!
Like the way the Egyptians would lash their slaves to make them work harder, the Republicans are lashing us with every imaginable dissolution of any benefit that we had before the Republicans and Trump decided to kill the American middle class.
The decision to rescind net neutrality doesn’t apply to Europe. How will the difference affect international competition? So much for making America “great”.
Is it possible that Alit Pai, (an attorney from Buffalo, NY – and an Obama appointee) and once a Verizon lawyer – now the FCC Chairman who yesterday, in one swell foop, killed Obama’s Net Neutrality Act might have colluded with the DNC’s current chairman, Keith Ellison (ALSO an attorney from Buffalo, NY and an Obama appointee – Secretary of Labor) to summarily p1ss off the voters enough to make the mid-term elections a Republican blood bath…?
(If so, ’twas well played!)
No. I’m certain their only thought is to make the world a better place for ALL Americans.(sigh)

Ah yes, I remember the good old dial up days when I would start the log in process, take a shower, then get on line.

The GOP thinks it should be their goal to make things better for the well connecting and rich at the expense of everyone else.

Republicans dragging America backwards to dial up speed.
Republicans are creating a two tier America, those that can afford internet and health care and food vs the majority who are struggling.
Krugman nails it today as he calls the Republican tax bill…
“…a bill that treats anyone who works for someone else — that is, the vast majority of Americans — as a second-class citizen.”
