Years ago, I felt very poorly one afternoon and so checked blood pressure and pulse. My pulse was highly irregular and my blood pressure very low. I drove myself to the ER (proof, if you will, of low oxygen to the brain). While hooked up to the monitors and talking to the nurses, one of them commented, “Do you know that your heart stopped for 7 seconds just then?” I hadn’t noticed.

I was in the hospital once and the heart monitor went flat line. I asked the nurse if I was dead!
