Sounds like most school systems now. My daughter-in-law buys stuff like that at sales so that her kids have it when needed. It certainly doesn’t come from the district.

I long for the good old days when my school supplies included pens, pencils, notebooks, compass, eraser, portable pencil sharpener, ruler, protractor, and other essentials.

It’s like when you get on a plane with your book and are sitting next to the guy with the reading tablet who’s making fun of you, right up until the announcement to “Please turn off your electronic devices…” LOL!

I’m a programmer at an insurance company vendor. We go thru a ream of paper per minute.

How do you sneak a note over to Billy-Bob about how you can see Lucille’s underwear with out paper and a pencil, when you cant text?

Boy, I wish I went to school when the had paper and pencil. We had to use clay tablets and stylus to learn cuneiform. You young punks had it so easy…

Why do some old people keep thinking that just ‘cause they’re clueless about new stuff, kids must be clueless about old stuff? It’s like some mental defense mechanism. “I might not know anything about Facebook, or about smartphones… But, uh, kids these days don’t know what a pen and paper is! I mean, I’ve never actually HEARD OF any kid who didn’t know that, but still!”

Have to get a new keyboard without these damn sticky keys….I actually got straight A’s in English Lit., once upon time.…
