We always think of aliens as being super-intelligent. They could be complete dolts with a lot of technology. Look at us humans with our smart phones. Does anyone really know how a smart phone works? No, you just finger it and magic happens.
I had a 1985 Tempo – standard transmission – drove the thing for 20 years and 250,000 miles (enough to park it on the moon). Best car I’ve ever owned. It was still running good when I donated it to a charity.
