Wouldn’t it be nice if this was symptomatic of the US (and idiomatic of what the US was known for internationally)? Then the US would have an excuse. Wait… maybe it is.

What’s with the sudden increase in the quality of the art?

That’s my attitude with drinks around computers…. eventually it will get spilled. Worst was the young lady who knocked a candle over onto the laptop keyboard. It’s gonna happen.

Some people must really have too much time, since they read and make comments on a strip they don’t even like.

I worked at a tech school that issued laptop computers as part of the student’s equipment. Coffee, baby formula, cola, water… these were the most normal things spilled on the keyboards. then there was the time a squirrel ate the keyboard…

Having also worked in pen and ink, these look more like rather enormous drip spatters to me with a little running of the ink. Sorry; they just do. Sloppy assistant…

Yesterday there was a comment that this was a take off on the Exxon Valdez spill.

I remember these now. Those ink blots did a good job of making them stand out on a page.
